Tony Johansen is well known
in Sydney art circles for his vibrant paintings of Sydney life and
personalities. During the last couple of years he has started working
digitally. This new work is becoming increasingly popular in North
America and Europe. He is preparing for an exhibition in Los Angeles
next year.

for many years at the prestigious Julian Ashton Art School. He is
currently Director of the East Sydney Academy of Art. His central art
teaching ethos is based on his passionate belief that we all are
capable of beautiful artistic expression with encouragement and being
shown the few easy steps to drawing the figure. With Tony Johansen as

is a bohemian studio with a difference. Artwork adorns walls and
ceiling, and every corner is a magic kingdom of sculptures and artists
tools. It looks like you would imagine an exotic studio in Paris would
look like but in fact it is based on the studio of Leonardo Da Vinci.
There is no where else in Sydney quite like it.
